Toshiko Tomura is the most popular writer of her generation. She’s also achieved success as an actress and designer. What’s the truth behind this tremendously talented woman, who’s not even 25 years old?
From time to time Toshiko drives from Tokyo to a desolate village. There, in a worn out small cottage, she shuts herself in order to talk to a wax figure of her late mother and then - completely naked - falls asleep between toys, records, artistic tools, various devices and memorabilia.

Adolf is an epic story of three Adolfs - Adolf Hitler and childhood friends Adolf Kaufmann and Adolf Kamil - one being of German-Japanese origin and another a Jew. It’s an outstanding historical drama by Osamu Tezuka, next to Ayako. Although this one is much longer and complicated.
Tezuka kept the visual style of his most serious novels equally serious and realistic. But the panel above is an exception, depicting the rape in a symbolic way with its stages clearly readable.

You heard the man, boys!
It’s brilliant how Tezuka includes a piece of clever humor into very grim story of ruthless revenge involving murder and desecration of the body - not resorting to visual gags, as He often does (or at least used to do).
